The day Santa comes to town!

That's right tomorrow is the day Santa comes to town!

It's Thanksgiving Day and that means . . .
Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!

This is one of the things I look forward to each year.

Besides all the yummy food and pumpkin pie ...

and spending time with family ...

I love a good parade!

Macy's knows how to do it right.
They've been doing it since 1924,

with awesome balloons ...

colorful costumes ...

crazy clowns ...

marching bands ...

the rockettes ...

and of course Tom Turkey.

But the culminating event is the entrance of
the Jolliest soul of all
It's all so exciting!

We hope y'all have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

No it's not a turkey,

it's Penny Lane and she's only 8 weeks away.

We have a lot to be thankful for!

Enjoy the parade!

If you stand on a rocking chair . . .
and grab for something just out of reach . . .

you get a busted nose and a black eye.

Pete loves to climb on everything.
This most recent casualty happened in nursery at church.
But it hasn't stopped him from continuing
to climb on things he's not supposed to.

Here he is at the computer.
He's fascinated with the buttons and the mouse.

He's also fascinated with driving his cars on the keys.
It probably won't be the last time
his little nose wears a scar.

The Holy War 2008

Saturday, November 22 2008
It begins.

Pete is feeling pretty confident!
His Utes are walking in with a 11-0 season.

Too bad BYU-Provo had to lose to TCU.

Pete pays homage to the Utes each day.

Here is where the showdown will take place.
Beautiful isn't it.

"Wish I could be there with you Grandpa!"

Pete who is going to win?
That's right buddy!

Go get' em Utes!!!
We're behind you 100%

The Morning Paper

Pete is grumpy when he gets up.
Until he's read the morning paper.

Let's see what's going on today?

Hmm . . . very interesting.

See how relaxed he gets.

Here's what caught his interest.
(It's a picture of several children pushing go carts.)

I spy . . .

Pete loves the playground.

Now that he is a big 18month old
he can go just about anywhere.

He is usually really calm when he swings.

Unless he sees a ball.

I spy with my little eye a . . .

Gotta go!

Pete's Pot-o-gold!

What could that be???
It's Peter the Leprechaun!
"They're after me pot of gold!"

Sumo Mike got Pete running.
Peter tried to distract him.
He'd say "No no no!"

It took some coaxing but Peter soon
learned to love his Sumo Dad.

Sumo Mike was a big hit!
He won a prize for the Scariest costume.
(The children were not sure what to think of him.)

Even from behind he looked great!

Katie won a prize for most Original costume!
(If you can't tell, she was a vampire woopie cushion.)

Pete won a prize for Best overall!!!
It must have been his red beard.
(In case you're wondering, I was the Goddess of Autumn.)

Peter liked Halloween, mostly he loved the candy!
Here he is begging for more.

After all the excitement and candy,
it took Pete a while to wind down.

We hope y'all had a . . . . .
